Salima is a highly experienced actress, writer and podcast host, co-creating and hosting the hugely popular WOMEN ARE MAD show, a "witty and irreverent take on anger” interviewing guests including Bryony Gordon, Shappi Khorsandi, Gail Porter, and Jess Phillips MP.

Salima studied Oriental Studies at Cambridge University, but unlike fellow alumnus James Bond, she was not recruited to MI6 (despite her best spy impersonations), and instead has acted extensively in television and film, starring in shows including TWENTY TWELVE (BBC), LOSING IT (ITV), THIS IS ENGLAND (SKY ATLANTIC), and TRIGGERPOINT (ITV).

Salima cut her comedy teeth playing Yasmeen Vine, the squeamish village nurse, in Jennifer Saunders’ BBC Series JAM & JERUSALEM (series 1-3)., and currently has a comedy pilot in development.

Salima loves an expected key change, trapeze and eavesdropping on her children.
